Alison Doody

Alison Doody was born in Dublin, Ireland on November 11, in 1966. She is a model and an Irish actress. Following her debut in a feature film with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to play anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). Siobhan Donnevan as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody was a model after she was approached. The outcome proved to be an extremely lucrative profession. Doody was adamantly against glamour and naked work, a rule that allowed her to pursue an acting career. Having come to the attention of the casting director of an upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody's name appeared within John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 which features the most promising actors in 1986. 38. Only 18 years old at the time she acted in the character Doody was - and remains one of the smallest Bond girl who has appeared in a film. in 1987 Mickey Rourke starred in A Prayer for the Dying in which she played IRA members Siobhan Doovan. Doody played the role of Archibald's wife, Lilias as he portrayed his fantasy in 1987's television adaptation The Secret Garden. The storyteller's episode Sapsorrow was her first lead role. The episode aired in 1988 opposite Dawn French, John Hurt and Jennifer Saunders. She played opposite Pierce Brosnan, in the 1988 film Taffin. In the following film, she played her biggest role yet as Austrian Nazisympathiser and Archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider playing alongside Harrison Ford. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody played co-starring in 1991 with Jonathan Pryce opposite the British mini-series Selling Hitler, which was in the spirit of a publication scam known as The Hitler Diaries. After moving to Hollywood Doody was a star. It was her choice to succeed Cybill Shepard in the role of L'Oreal spokeswoman and went on to star opposite Charlie Sheen as Flannery, his agent and girlfriend in Major League II. After nearly a decade from the screen Doody returned to acting by playing a minor role in the 2003 British comedy movie The Actors with Michael Caine playing herself in an awards ceremony scene. Doody was a co-star, along together with Patrick Swayze, in the 2004 TV film version to King Solomon's Mines. Doody was part of Danny Dyer's The Rapture (2009). In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's the medical drama The Clinic. She was scheduled to also appear in a remake in 2011 of the horror classic The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Her first two seasons of Beaver Falls, the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. The following year, she appeared as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way. The Almeria Tierra de Film Award was given to her on the 21st of November, 2018. She also received a star on the Almeria Walk of Fame.
